Delete Your Graftrz Account

Version 2.0Effective 13 July 2026

Graftrz users may request the permanent deletion of their account and the personal data associated with it. Deleting your account is permanent. Once the deletion process has been completed, you will no longer be able to access your profile, jobs, messages, or other account information.

1. Request deletion

You may request account deletion by emailing: support@graftrz.com

Please use the subject line: Account Deletion Request

Include the following information:

  • Your full name.
  • The email address associated with your Graftrz account.
  • Whether you registered via Email, Google Account, or Apple Account.
  • Your account type, such as dayworker or vessel representative.
  • The reason for requesting account deletion.

We may contact you using the email address associated with your account to verify that you are the account owner before processing the request.

Please do not send identity documents, passwords, payment-card details or other sensitive information by email unless specifically requested through a secure process.

2. What happens after you submit a request

Once your identity has been verified:

  • Your account will be deactivated.
  • You will no longer be able to sign in or use Graftrz.
  • Active login sessions will be ended.
  • Personal data that Graftrz is not required to retain will be deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
  • You will receive confirmation once the deletion process has been completed.

Verified deletion requests will normally be processed within 30 days. Data contained in encrypted system backups may remain for up to an additional 90 days before being automatically overwritten or deleted. Backup data will not be restored or used except where required for security, disaster recovery or legal purposes.

3. Information that will be deleted

Subject to any legal or regulatory retention requirements, account deletion may include the deletion or anonymisation of:

  • Your name, contact details and profile photograph.
  • Your profile biography and account preferences.
  • Daywork experience, skills and qualifications.
  • Availability and location information.
  • Uploaded certificates and verification documents.
  • Saved jobs, bookmarks and notification preferences.
  • Device notification tokens.
  • Job applications and invitations that are not required as part of a retained transaction record.
  • Messages and attachments that Graftrz is not required to retain.
  • Authentication information and other data associated exclusively with your Graftrz account.

Some information may be anonymised rather than deleted where it forms part of a shared record involving another user.

4. Information that may be retained

Graftrz may retain limited information where this is reasonably necessary to comply with legal, tax, accounting, payment, regulatory, fraud-prevention, security or dispute-resolution obligations. This may include:

  • Completed job and service records.
  • Invoices and accounting records.
  • Payment, platform-fee, refund and payout records.
  • Tax and regulatory reporting information.
  • Records relating to an unresolved dispute, refund, chargeback or legal claim.
  • Security, fraud-prevention and audit logs.
  • Evidence of your account deletion request and its completion.

Financial, VAT and related transaction records may be retained for at least six years, or for a longer period where required by applicable law or an unresolved legal, tax or regulatory matter. Malta's tax authority requires VAT-related records to be retained for at least six years from the end of the relevant year (MTCA).

Any retained information will be restricted to the purpose for which it must be kept. It will no longer be available through an active Graftrz profile and will be deleted or anonymised once the applicable retention period has expired.

5. Active jobs, payments and disputes

Where your account is connected to an active job, pending payment, payout, refund, chargeback or dispute, Graftrz may need to resolve that matter before completing deletion. Your account may be deactivated or restricted while the outstanding matter is being resolved. Information unrelated to that matter will still be deleted or anonymised in accordance with the normal deletion process.

6. Stripe payment and verification information

Graftrz uses Stripe to facilitate payments, payouts and certain identity-verification processes. Graftrz does not store your complete payment-card details. When your Graftrz account is deleted, Graftrz will delete or disconnect Stripe identifiers and payment-related information under its control where permitted.

Stripe, your bank or another payment provider may independently retain transaction, identity or compliance records where required by law or by their own regulatory obligations. Deleting your Graftrz account does not automatically delete records independently held by Stripe, your bank or another third-party service provider.
